Kerry Koutsikos, VP and GM, Infor Middle East & Africa, explains the importance GITEX and highlights how infor’s industry specific cloud solutions helps automate and simplify complex systems.
How would you define your organisation and what prompted you to participate at this year’s GITEX?
Infor, the industry cloud company, specializes in industry-specific cloud software solutions to help manufacturing and distribution customers in the Middle East automate and simplify complex systems and prepare for the future.
GITEX is a key event in the region’s technology calendar and Infor is a regular exhibitor at the event. GITEX has a winning combination of scale and quality: There is a high volume of high-caliber organizations participating and attending, including many companies from the sectors that Infor is focusing on: industrial manufacturing and distribution. GITEX gives Infor an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the power of its solutions to partners, customers, and new prospects. It’s also a great networking opportunity.
What products or solutions will be the highlight for you this year at the show?
At GITEX, Infor will highlight its industry expertise and the ability of its smart, pre-configured cloud solutions, which feature built-in industry functionality, to enable customers to simplify complexity, transform business processes, accelerate time to value, and put their end users at the center of the experience.
Infor’s solutions work seamlessly with the world-class capabilities of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and give organizations the power and responsiveness they need to stay ahead amid the current challenges of increasingly tough competition, global inflation, and supply chain issues.
How important is channel for you and how do you enable channel partners to work with you?
Infor aims to raise awareness of its solutions and strengthen relationships with partners and customers, in addition to meeting potential new partners to join its partner network.
Infor works with a number of strategic partners in the Middle East who help to market and implement Infor solutions. In the next 18 months the company plans to expand its channel partnerships in key markets including the GCC, Turkey, South Africa, and Egypt.
Which new geographies are you targeting to penetrate with participation at this year’s show?
Infor’s primary focus at GITEX is the GCC but it is also interested in expanding its reach in Turkey, South Africa, and Egypt, both directly and through carefully selected channel partners whose ethos matches Infor’s.
What is the key message that you would like to pass on to your existing/prospective partners attending GITEX?
Aside from raising awareness of its solutions and strengthening relationships with partners and customers, Infor is keen to relay the important message that digital transformation is about customers taking a comprehensive analysis of their organization and understanding what they want to achieve, followed by a journey of continual innovation. Infor’s software is helping to drive this type of holistic innovation in manufacturing and distribution by connecting organizations to their customers, supply chain network, plant and equipment, which enables employees to drive predictable revenues. By embracing powerful cloud-based software and a culture of continuous innovation, organizations can turn many of their current challenges into advantages, bringing simplicity where there was complexity, gathering and using data to maximum effect, and enhancing their ability to work in tandem with suppliers and partners.
What does your company hope to achieve at the end of the show?
By the end of the show Infor hopes to have strengthened its relationship with existing customers and partners, to have reached out to new prospects and prospective partners, and to increase awareness of the importance of industry-specific cloud-based software solutions in enabling continual innovation.
