Huawei’s first online live sale Eid event declared a major success

Huawei Consumer Business Group has announced the success of its first Online Live Sale Eid Event with transactions hitting 1 million AED in just the first 30 minutes of the event held on Monday evening.

Huawei collaborated with popular Emirati footballer Adel Jamal for the event which saw more than 100,000 people join the live sale and comments reach 1.68 million across social media. This was one of a kind initiative from Huawei as the trend towards e-commerce and digital retail continues to grow in the UAE and the wider Middle East.

Consumers from across the UAE participated in the event last night where they enjoyed savings as high as 80 percent on a wide range of Huawei devices. Whilst consumers adjust to the new norm, Huawei hosted the digital sale in the run-up to Eid celebrations with the aim to reward consumers during these challenging times with unprecedented discounts on a wide range of products.

We are delighted that our consumers participated in our first-ever online live sale event on Monday evening. We held this online sale event to support our users during these challenging times with unprecedented discounts reaching up to 80% off,” said Keith Li, Country Manager, Huawei Consumer Business Group UAE.

“By reaching a record of 1 million AED in sales in only the first 30 minutes this is a true testament to how popular online live events are becoming with consumers. Not only did shoppers receive offers on products for Eid gifts and personal usage but they were able to do so from the comfort of their homes.

As UAE residents are still encouraged to remain indoors, increasing numbers of consumers now prefer to purchase items online. Huawei continues to embark on this shift and aims to make the process as convenient for consumers as possible.
