Twofour54 announced new venture capital investment deals with two of the region’s leading Arabic online games companies, Tahadi Games and Jawaker. Gartner exptects gaming industry to witness huge growth in the coming years and Twofour54 believes that these investments will go a long way in developing indigenous digital gaming industry in the region. Anti-piracy authorities in Abu Dhabi recently collaborated with Microsoft Gulf, a member of the Business Software Alliance (BSA), the world’s foremost advocate for the software industry, to conduct raids on three Abu Dhabi-based IT resellers in Electra Street. The raids resulted in the confiscation of suspected counterfeit CDs containing Microsoft software. Three persons were also been arrested.
