Canon introduces PRISMAprepare Go, a secure job submission and file preparation tool for small in-house and commercial print service providers (PSPs). Offered on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, customers can access this affordable, cloud-based workflow service from anywhere, as long as they have internet access and a web browser.
PRISMAprepare Go speeds up the process of bringing in customer jobs, fast-checking their print readiness and performing basic pre-flight checks for issues such as incorrect or missing page size, formatting, fonts and image resolution. This helps to eliminate mistakes, reduces costly misprints and saves valuable time.
No IT expertise or specialised training is needed to configure, manage and maintain PRISMAprepare Go, so users can be up and running in minutes, and the service is easy and intuitive to use. The application supports Canon production printers whether driven by PRISMAsync, Fiery or Canon PDL, as well as third-party generic JDF printers.
Customers access PRISMAprepare Go through PRISMA Home, the new portal at the heart of all the PRISMA cloud solutions and tools. Running on the Microsoft Azure platform with its robust security features, PRISMA Home provides reliable, safe and secure access to the service and to PRISMA Cloud Storage, where users can store their customer data and job files. PSPs can also view their subscriptions, contact Canon and manage their internal users.
Easy on-line job submission
PRISMAprepare Go includes a customer-facing job submission portal that PSPs can brand as their own, making it straightforward for customers to send jobs online. Configuration is simple – PSPs can personalise and brand the interface that their customers use for job onboarding and quickly set up internal administrator and operator accounts as well as individual customer accounts.
For print buyers or internal stakeholders in the case of in-house print rooms, a drag-and-drop feature makes it easy to submit single or multiple PDF files and additional instructions, prior to them being accepted for production. The portal also allows them to track their job status online, doing away with time-consuming email and phone communications and freeing up their time to add value elsewhere.
The PSP has an instant view of incoming jobs, streamlining communication and cutting out the often-unseen costs of intervening to correct faulty files, while the print buyer will value the ability to submit jobs online, encouraging repeat jobs and building loyalty.
PRISMAprepare Go will be available directly from Canon or from accredited channel partners later this year.
An all-inclusive monthly subscription, which comes with 10GB of storage as standard and continuous functionality upgrades.
