DCC South Africa launches HP ProBook

Drive Control Corporation (DCC) the distributors for HP in South Africa announced the launch of all new refreshed HP ProBook range of laptops.

“This is a great deal for the end users, where the key feature is upgraded specs without any increased cost. The standard hard drive specification has been upgraded from 320GB to 640GB, giving users even more space to store their documents, music and multimedia files,” says Deon Botha, HP PSG Business Unit Manager at DCC.

“The entry level model has also been made obsolete with the mid range unit now coming in at an entry level price, offering a saving of almost R400 for a high performance notebook with a second generation Intel Core i3 processor, 3GB RAM, a 640GB hard drive and Windows 7 Pro. The high end model offers the same specs as before with a 640GB HDD, offering double the hard drive capacity,” he adds.

The ProBook 4730s will be the first model to be released with the refreshed specs. This notebook offers users a 17.3-inch high definition anti-glare display and is the only notebook in the range to sport a dedicated graphics card, ensuring advanced multimedia capabilities.

With Windows 7 operating systems and second generation Intel Core i3 and i5 processors performance is guaranteed, and the 4730s delivers the perfect balance of functionality, style and affordability. A rugged shell constructed from high-strength precision-formed aluminium offers durability and is deeply anodised for a rich, smudge and wear-resistant surface, perfect for everyday use.

The ProBook 4530s offers the same hard wearing finish and stylish design with a 15.6-inch high definition (HD) display, along with Windows 7 and second generation Intel Core i processors, delivering a powerful notebook in a more compact form factor, ideal for those who need the convenience of a mobile notebook.
