How does your participation in GITEX align with your overall market strategy?
Through our participation at GITEX 2024, we aim to raise awareness of Azerbaijan’s growing position as a regional hub for digital innovation, fostering global partnerships and investment opportunities. By showcasing strategic initiatives such as our E-Government solutions, cybersecurity advancements, and a vision for a paperless future, IDDA is underscoring Azerbaijan’s commitment to fostering sustainable, tech-driven growth. Through engagement with international stakeholders, we aim to build partnerships and attract investment, as we encourage organisations to capitalise on the thriving business environment and world-class infrastructure we have established in Azerbaijan.
GITEX being the region’s largest tech trade show make it the perfect avenue for the promotion of the relocation and expansion opportunities that we provide to technology focused start-ups and companies. Participation in events like GITEX supports IDDA’s broader vision of establishing Azerbaijan as a central player in the global technology landscape, capable of fostering international collaboration and leading the region’s digital economy.
How is IDDA supporting Azerbaijani startups and IT companies, and what innovative solutions will they showcase?
IDDA is proud to support the GITEX debut of a diverse and innovative group of startups and IT companies from our country, who we will showcase at GITEX Expand North Star (ENS) and GITEX Global. In the startup arena, Perkskit will highlight its FinTech-enabled HR solution, aimed at improving employee engagement through personalized benefits. Epoint, with its successful online and offline payment solutions, is scaling to neighboring countries, while Payriff offers omni-channel payment solutions designed to streamline transactions for businesses. Glorri, an AI-powered HR platform, will showcase how its candidate-scoring model can significantly reduce bad hires, improving hiring efficiency. dmp, a digital procurement platform, will demonstrate how it uses AI to enhance procurement processes, serving clients across the Caspian and Middle East.
In addition, three IT companies will be present at GITEX ENS: Destec Group, providing customized ERP systems; United Payment, Azerbaijan’s first licensed FinTech-as-a-Service company; and Pixite, offering AI-driven, personalized clothing design. These companies will highlight the strength and adaptability of Azerbaijan’s tech sector, showcasing how their solutions streamline operations and drive innovation across multiple industries.
At GITEX Global, four more IT companies will be featured, including Smart Solutions Group, which specializes in high-load applications for the public and private sectors, and SetClapp, known for its business automation tools like ERP and CRM systems. iTicket Global will exhibit its innovative event ticketing solutions, while BestComp Group, a regional ICT leader, will present its expertise in system integration and data center solutions.
Together, these companies reflect Azerbaijan’s ambition to drive digital transformation on a global stage, positioning our country as a key player in the tech ecosystem.
What are the key objectives and metrics for success that IDDA aims to achieve through its participation at GITEX?
The key outcomes we aim to achieve through our participation at GITEX are forging meaningful partnerships and attracting investment into Azerbaijan’s tech ecosystem. Success is defined by the quality and quantity of business-to-business (B2B) interactions, the establishment of strategic collaborations with global tech companies and investors, and the visibility achieved for Azerbaijan’s digital transformation initiatives (such as our eGovernment solutions, and our AIM Techno Park).
Additionally, we evaluate success by tracking attendees’ interest and engagement with the innovative start-ups and companies that we are hosting at our pavilion. By demonstrating the incredible value that our ecosystem has delivered to their businesses, we hope these organisations will inspire others in the region to consider capitalising on the unmissable opportunity that expanding their business into Azerbaijan can provide.
