Synology announced the extension of its nine-year partnership with Axis Communications, a network technology company and industry leader that offers solutions in video surveillance, access control, intercom, and audio systems. This partnership combines video monitoring with physical access control, offering a comprehensive perimeter security solution with easy deployment, maintenance, and scalability.
“Our ongoing partnership guarantees our extensive user base of system integrators and end users alike access to the latest software enhancements, security updates, and efficient management and deployment of enterprise-level control”, remarked Josh Lin, Head of Surveillance Group at Synology.
Echoing this sentiment, Regina Shang, the Hong Kong & Taiwan Sales Director at Axis Communications, stated, “Our partnership with Synology is long-established and built on mutual trust and a shared mission. This collaboration exemplifies that trust, as we constantly innovate to provide unmatched quality and value for diverse physical access control requirements.”
In the latest Surveillance Station 9.2 release, Synology has seamlessly integrated the AXIS A1610 and A1610-B, the newest models of Network Door Controllers. This integration offers simultaneous monitoring of video feeds alongside real-time access control, enabling users to define access rules for specific times and locations, visually verify activities as they happen, receive immediate security alerts for any incidents or anomalies, swiftly retrieve footage associated with access events, and manage access control seamlessly across multiple cross-site locations.
Synology can further enhance their access control systems with advanced AI facial recognition by integrating Synology’s Deep Video Analytics (DVA) to enable automatic access by recognising authorised individuals.
