Winners of the 2021 Arab Game Awards revealed

Arab Game Awards, a first-of-its-kind Arab gamers-led awards ceremony for the Arab gaming community to celebrate video games in MENA, reveals 2021 winners during a live ceremony on YouTube. The ceremony celebrated twenty-five games, featuring world premieres, giveaways, and special appearances by world-class developers like Hideo Kojima, Josef Fares, Dinga Bakaba, and more.

On 20 January, Arab Game Awards streamed the live ceremony, which celebrated the best games released in 2021. The games were nominated and chosen by MENA’s best media and critics, including Saudi Gamer, IGN ME, GamerSnack, Arab Hardware, and more.

It Takes Two by Hazelight Studios, and EA stole the ceremony with six awards, including Best Game and Fan’s Favorite Awards. Josef Fares, the director of It Takes Two, accepted the awards with a special message directed to his Arab fans. Other winners include Deathloop, Forza Horizon 5, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, and more.

Hideo Kojima, the famous and beloved game developer and director known for his masterpieces Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, was honored the Industry Legend award and sent a special message to his Arab audience.

The ceremony was not just about awards! Game developers and publishers showcased their upcoming gaming. The 4 Winds Entertainment showcased the tactical FPS World War 3, and various Arab indie developers showcased their upcoming games.

Arab Game Awards acts as the platform to celebrate the best games of the year in the MENA region, entertaining and engaging millions of players in The Middle East and North Africa. Content creators from across the region, such as BanderitaX, Ahmad Show, MLZLZ, Godus Brothers, and many more, hosted the show, highlighting their support and commitment towards one of the fastest-growing regions in the games industry.
