Nokia and ScopeSky, an internet service provider in Iraq, signed a deal at GITEX Global 2021 in Dubai for deploying Nokia’s Nuage Networks Virtualized Network Services (VNS) Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN). The solution will deliver greater network automation, enhanced security and visibility to its enterprise customers. It will expand ScopeSky’s services footprint even as it brings down operational expense and improves turn-up time. The service provider’s enterprise customers will benefit from improved service availability and a more effectively managed and secure network.
With the Nuage Networks’ solution, ScopeSky will be able to smoothly transition enterprise customers from existing legacy networks to a highly automated and optimized network, helping simplify network operations. The solution automates branch site connectivity to help the service provider’s business customers create a single, secure cloud environment across multiple sites and access technologies. It will also allow ScopeSky’s customers to benefit from application prioritization and centralized policy management.
Nuage Networks’ VNS solution is based on an overlay model that uses any IP network to connect customer sites. Leveraging the solution, ScopeSky will be able to provide improved operational consistency and performance across network devices and applications in any location. This will provide the operator with maximum flexibility and support multiple access/last-mile technologies including copper, fiber or mobile broadband.
Mohamed Lattif, Commercial Director of ScopeSky, said: “We are excited to partner with Nokia’s Nuage Networks to unleash the power of the cloud for our business users by giving them the freedom and flexibility to connect sites, workgroups and applications faster, securely and more effectively. The SD-WAN solution will enable our users to react to change easily and respond to growth seamlessly.”
Mohamed Faisal, Head of Customer Business Team for Iraq at Nokia, said: “Nokia’s Nuage Networks has become a leader in helping service providers harness the full potential of cloud and network automation and extend that to its enterprise customers’ branch locations. Our technology provides a flexible and open SD-WAN infrastructure that will serve as a foundation for ScopeSky to enhance network connectivity and deliver cloud-based services to customers across Iraq.”
