The ‘AI Everything’ Summit got off to a flying start today, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Opening to a packed house, participants and exhibitors said they were ‘excited’ and ‘eager’ to be part of this industry defining show. Robots, chatbots, facial recognition and voice identification set the trend for the day, as visitors engaged with the participants and a robust global technology platform got underway.
“This is the perfect time to be a part of the AI Everything Summit in Dubai, particularly at a time when the country has put in place a national strategy for AI and is a leader in technology and its adoption,” said Dr Essam Mitwally, CEO, AiTech4U, a company based in Dubai’s Silicon Oasis. “The UAE economy is very competitive and keen to stay in tune with global technological trends and practices. Moreover, the government here is extremely supportive and willing to experiment and learn. The economy is vibrant and technology has made a major imprint here,” he added.
Miraal Kamal, spokesperson for Microsoft, said this is an exciting time for the country in terms of technology adoption and Artificial Intelligence. “We look forward to this show, which is already attracting a huge, global audience. The UAE is a leader in technology adoption and the strides it has taken are inspirational and very encouraging,” she added.
Diwo, a US based company, is here for the first time, exhibiting at the AI Everything Summit.
