Mimecast, the leading email and data security vendor and its distributor Bulwark Technologies, will be present at the forthcoming Infosecurity Middle East at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 6 to 8 March 2018.
Mimecast will give two Techtalks, covering ransomware and the importance of building a cyber resilience strategy in an evolving cyber threat landscape. Experts will also perform a series of live email hacks and demonstrate how organisations can protect themselves against advanced cyberattacks like spear-phishing and impersonation fraud.
“FM Global and Pentland Analytics’ 2017 Resilience Index Annual Report revealed that countries in the Middle East have a particularly high exposure to cyber risk. Email is the number one attack vector for cybercrime with more than 90% of cyber-attacks starting in your inbox. Attacks predominantly feature techniques such as spear-phishing, ransomware and impersonation of key employees. It’s also seldom the end goal for attackers, with over 70% of attacks leading to other systems in the network. Yet, email security is still largely ignored by enterprises,” said Brian Pinnock, cyber resilience expert at Mimecast.
Pinnock will deliver a talk on Ransomware – how to manage an attack and how to recover one to save your business on March 6, 2018 at 2:30pm. And he will also present on Navigating the evolving cyber threat landscape and achieving cyber resilience for email on March 7, 2018 at 12.15pm. This presentation will address how email-borne threats have become prevalent and sophisticated, forcing organisations to shift to a cyber resilience strategy to better protect their business, data and employees.
