Avenir Telecom to boost brand awareness at DISTREE

Avenir Telecom will showcase its portfolio of products to hundreds to retailers and e-tailers at next week’s DISTREE Middle East consumer tech channel event in Dubai. Avenir Telecom creates and distributes under licence with Energizer – a battery products leader – a full range of mobile phones, smartphones and mobile accessories. For the Middle East market, Avenir Telecom offers local distribution and a full range of support services for channel customers as well as a compelling margin proposition.

We want to meet our customers, introduce new products and support them in their development. We have a full range of products to fit customers’ expectations that feature the latest technology. They are fast moving products meaning less returns and they are high quality products synonymous with the Energizer brand standards.”

El Jazouly commented: “Margin structure is something sensitive – especially in mobile accessories – but we give the best support to our customers to reach their target, and we have always received good feedback from our partners.” Retailers receive a monthly promotion plan and assistance with in-store displays, as well as support for promotional events and incentives for sales staff.

The company has opened the first Energizer store in the world in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with plans to open a total of five stores in the Kingdom and two in the UAE. Avenir Telecom is achieving 40% annual growth in the Middle East, driven by strong sales in key markets such as Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt.

“Our company is very close to each national market and we are studying each market because we know they all have different needs,” explained El Jazouly. “We are working very close to our local distributor to understand the market. We would like all retailers to understand that the quality of products is very important today, and a big brand works very hard to get the best quality and safest products to their customers,” he added.
