Evolis plans to showcase its unique ready-to-use plastic card printers Badgy100 and Badgy200 at this year’s Distree Middle East in Dubai. After a double digit growth in Europe last year, Badgy now plans to further expand its channel network in the Middle East.
With its brand Badgy, launched in 2014, Evolis has been developing an easy-to-use and affordable product making instant card issuance available to small and medium- sized businesses. Badgy is sold 100 percent indirectly via the IT and Office channels. It allows distributors to complete their existing product portfolio with an innovative solution that meet the the needs of their customers: small and medium businesses, schools, retail shops, clubs and associations.
After having developed a nearly full coverage of the European Market, Badgy is now expanding in the Middle East, the Nordic countries, Eastern Europe and South Africa in order to build a strong worldwide channel. Badgy is a ready-to-use solution for issuing badges and comes with personalization software, a library of card templates and a starter kit including a color ribbon and blank cards.
A Badgy printer enables users to print in less than 1 minute access badges, membership cards, loyalty and gift cards, etc. Many applications are imaginable. Plastic cards are durable and give badges a professional look. This solution saves the user a lot of time compared to the usual paper-based card.
Olivier Chevance, EMEA Badgy sales manager at Evolis explains: “Our 35 pcercent growth in Europe shows us that desktop printing of plastic cards becomes better known to a wider public. Security is becoming a key concern in a lot of countries and therefore solutions to identify people and products are becoming the major trend impacting our growth.”
