On January 31, BT’s innovation roadshow will bring together business leaders across the Middle-East to address the challenges and opportunities of the post-oil economy.
Titled “Make The Digital Possible”, the Dubai stage of this roadshow will discuss how digital transformation allows organisations to respond in the rapidly evolving and competitive landscape of the post-oil economy.
Centered on the key concepts of cloud, collaboration and security, the “Make The Digital Possible” roadshow will make stops in Dubai, Kuwait City, Istanbul and Beirut.
The Dubai edition will take place at the Burj Al Arab Hotel on January 31st . The invitation-only event will be chaired by Wael El Kabbany, BT’s vice president for the Middle East and North Africa, and will feature a keynote address from Chris Cochrane, CIO, BT, articulating digital transformation within the modern corporate agenda.
“We sit at the cusp of a new industrial revolution. There is no doubt that the convergence of technologies such as mobile, social, big data and the Internet of Things is disrupting business,” says Chris Cochrane, CIO at BT. “The CIO’s role is one that has changed significantly with the IT function now serving a broader enablement and advisory role, compared to traditional expectations years ago. With an increasing impetus on digitalisation and its impact on everyday business, now is the time for the CIO to emerge front and center as a key decision-maker, as digital transformation becomes a strategic imperative for enterprises.”
Panel sessions bringing together many of the Middle-East’s most influential CIOs will take place in partnership with analysts and business partners, highlighting case studies around successful digital journeys, as well as the key trends that will impact the region.
Supporting the digital transformation agenda, empowering CIOs to embrace an ambitious digital roadmap in the face of changing economic and business dynamics in the region, will be other themes to be explored during the event.
