ESET Receives 100 VB100 Awards for NOD32

The ESET NOD32 is the first product to ever pass the magical threshold of 100 individual VB100 Awards received by a single product. The one hundredth VB100 Award was presented to Richard Marko, ESET CEO, by John Hawes, Virus Bulletin’s Chief of Operations.vb100-100thaward“We are honored to be the first security vendor to receive 100 VB100 Awards for a single product,” said Marko at the ceremony. “Since the first VB100 Award in 1998, we have grown from a small dynamic company made up of a few technologists into an established endpoint security vendor with over 100 million users in more than 200 countries and territories.”

Having presented its first Virus Bulletin Award (VB100) in 1998, Virus Bulletin, an independent testing organisation, is considered the most renowned accolade in the industry. To earn an award, an anti-malware product must detect all current “in‐the‐wild” viruses without producing any false positives.

“ESET has been a top performer in our tests since 1998 and today we are delighted to present their 100th VB100 award – a first for any single product over the years,” said John Hawes, COO Virus Bulletin. “ESET NOD32’s history of excellent performances and zero false positives is a clear indicator of a very well-built, well-maintained and extremely reliable product.”
