Huawei has conducted Innovation Day event, which will serve as a platform for the global leaders to converge on the first day of GITEX. The event was conducted under the theme “Leading New ICT – Shape the Future”. Innovation day was designed to raise the awareness on the role of ICT in driving the digital transformation and building sustainable knowledge-based economies in the region. The company also dedicated the event to showcase the role of innovation in building smart cities of the future.
Research results were released for the ‘Smart Cities Index’, a white paper produced by Huawei in partnership with Navigant Research. The event also included a panel discussion comprised of industry leaders, set to discuss in depth the role of ICT in business development, and obtaining commercial growth.
“It is anticipated that more than 85% of enterprise applications will be Cloud within the next 10 years. Our societies, communities, work, home and surroundings are developing to achieve the ultimate goal of being fully smart. Huawei also unveiled a number of new partnership and ICT solutions, throughout GITEX, for accelerating the adoption of smarter, safer cities across the region, with a focus on the IoT and cloud computing.
