Singapore-based distributor and maker of IT peripherals and audio devices Leapfrog Global Group, has revealed plans that will see it appoint retailers and distributors across the Middle East, as part of the company’s strategy to establish presence in the region.

The move, according to the company, comes as Leapfrog looks to enter new countries in the emerging markets geography. In addition, the distributor said it wants to replicate the success it has in South East Asia in the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Faith Hu, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Leapfrog Global Group, said the company is participating at DISTREE Middle East for the first time following its successful participation at the event in Singapore last year. “We have come to the show with the sole purpose or meeting potential retail and distribution partners in the Middle East. Since setting up the business in 1999, we have concentrated on developing the South East Asian markets,” Hu explained. “We believe now is the right time for the company to enter new markets in MEA. We are upbeat that our range of accessories, peripherals, gaming and speakers products will do well in the Middle East as it is one of the fastest growing IT and consumer electronics markets globally.”

Hu added that with a broad product array, channel partners in the Middle East will benefit from the company’s quality product designs, competitive pricing, warranty and post-sales support. “As this is our first participation, we are delighted and excited about the response we have received so far from partners that have engaged with us. We want to use this event as the launch pad for our business in one of the most sought after regions in the world,” she added.
