Namibia’s third largest commercial bank, Bank Windhoek has upgraded its Internet banking services by adding more services for its clients.

The bank said it will re-launch its Internet banking services called iBank, next month. Harrycio Landsberg, business development officer at the bank said a few additional functionalities, such as cancelling post-dated transactions will be added.

“The new iBank platform was designed with the clients in mind as they were consulted during the designing process to ensure that the new service, with its new design and added functionalities, meets their needs and expectations. Bank Windhoek will continue to update its technology offerings to keep up with advances and keep them relevant to clients,” he said.

Landsberg said with the upgrade, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and the versions below that will no longer be supported.

Bank Windhoek is the third largest of Namibia’s seven commercial banks and for the half year ended 31 December 2014, reported a profit of $30m an increase of 12.8% compared to the previous period.
