Tactile Technologies of South Africa is looking to get partners in West-, Central- and East Africa, to distribute its growing touch-screen business applications.Tactile’s Group Director Mauro Mercuri has said in a statement that, “Long-term joint ventures is what Tactile is looking for. Ideal partners have an established ITC distribution network, are active in similar markets and understand the concept of value distribution.”

In the announcement, Mercuri says Tactile Technologies currently represents and holds distribution rights for among others, Elo Touch Solutions, world largest touch screen manufacturer.
The company is also distributes the FEC POS – global number 5 in the Point-Of-Sale industry; Winmate & Getac, highly specialized products for rough and demanding environments such as mining, marine and industrial; and Newland ID, new global player in the Scanning & Auto ID industry.
Tactile Technologies was established in 2001 and has grown into a key player in the professional touch-screen industry in Southern Africa.
In retail, Tactile’s products are used, for example, by retail groups Shoprite, Mr Price, Spar and Woolworths. In gaming, Tactile is the preferred supplier to the Sun International Group.
In medical, Tactile supplies large format touch-screen monitors to the Netcare Group.
In the petroleum industry, Tactile supplies all POS touch-screens to the Engen Group. In fast food and hospitality, Tactile supplies KFC, Nando’s, Steers, Wimpy.
Tactile owns many distribution rights for the sub-Saharan African market, and according to Mercuri, the company is able to license these to the right partners. He says, “Having a wealth of in-house product knowledge and market experience, it is set up to support its partners to establish and grow profitable revenues.”
