Bit9 + Carbon Black, recently showcased its solution Carbon Black, that has real-time detection and response capabilities at an seminar in Dubai. Dell SecureWorks, which uses Carbon Black in its Advanced Endpoint Threat Detection (AETD) managed service also delivered an presentation during the course of the seminar.
Aquib Aftab, Regional Director, Bit 9 + Carbon Black in the Middle East said: “The seminar comes at a time when the Middle East is steadily moving towards smart services and inter-connectivity to catch up with a highly technology-centric world. The region has been experiencing serious security threats targeting government entities, businesses and individuals at an alarmingly increasing rate. Security breaches can cause extensive major financial, privacy and intellectual property losses as well as reputation problems. It is, therefore, important to shield ourselves from such online intrusions, and we believe that the battleground is at the endpoint.”
According to the company, Carbon Black reduces the cost and complexity of incident response by replacing ‘after-the-fact’ manual data acquisition with continuous monitoring and recording of all activity on endpoints and servers.
Aftab added, “Our collaboration with Dell SecureWorks helps its clients significantly reinforce their online defenses. We look forward to forming partnerships with other organizations in the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries as we continuously intensify our initiatives against cyber attacks in the region and the rest of the world.”
Mark Morland, Regional Sales Director, Dell SecureWorks, said: “Some of the most serious cyber breaches to date are a result of organizations having one or more of their endpoints compromised. Cyber criminals continue to perfect their tactics and procedures, enabling them to avoid many of today’s cyber defenses. Therefore, it is critical that organizations employ comprehensive and robust network security, as well as ‘always-on’ 24×7 Endpoint Security.
