Sony MEA today unveiled its first underwater store coined as Xperia Aquatech is a concept store that is located four meters under the sea in Dubai.
The store will only be open for three days for lucky competition winners, media and VIPs. The trained divers will escort shoppers to this underwater shop where they can browse Sony’s water resistant phones, tablets and accessories.
“Sony Mobile has always been about elegant and premium design, with the Xperia Aquatech Stores, we wanted to put Sony’s pioneering waterproof technology on its smart devices at the forefront in a manner that would deliver an unforgettable experience to guests and fans in a visually, and emotionally powerful way,” says Spyros Gousetis, director of marketing at Sony Mobile Middle East and Africa.
Xperia Aquatech Store conceptualised and designed by FP7 Dubai, Sony Mobile’s creative agency.
