Give us a brief overview about your company.
Encode is a Cyber Security company focusing solely on information security services and solutions. As one of the premier providers of IT Security and Digital Risk Management services and solutions, Encode stands out with its expertise across vertical industries and security technology, coupled with ongoing, innovative security research and the unmatched qualifications of its people. Encode’s mission is to provide ongoing, best-of-breed, holistic security services and solutions to its clients to assist them throughout their security life-cycle in mitigating e-risks and realizing e-business opportunities.

What markets are you currently present in?
Encode has offices in Dubai (UAE), Athens (Greece) and London (UK) with plans to open a new office in the US within 2014. From the Dubai office, Encode offers services and solution to the whole of the Middle East with projects in the UAE, Egypt, Kuwait, KSA, Jordan, Oman and Qatar.

Which industry verticals do you cater to?
Encode’s main focus is in Telecom, Banking, and Government sectors. However, Encode has delivered projects for large oil companies, healthcare, retail and other clients.

What is the workforce strength of your organization?
Encode employs 55 staff in total with 40 technical and 15 admin and management. We had an annual turnover of $5.5 million in 2013.

What products, solutions, brands and services do you represent and offer in the markets you are present in?
In terms of services, Encode offers Assurance Services, Security Architecture Review Services, Cyber Threat Assessment, Managed Security Services. In terms of solutions, Encode is a long term partner with most of the vendors it represents.

Some of these are Verdasys for Data Leakage Protection, Fidelis for Malware Protection, CyberArk for Priviledged Identity Management, IBM/Qradar for SIEM (Global Agreement) Positive Technologies for Vulnerability Scanning and Compliance, Imperva for Database Firewalls and Web Application Firewalls.

What are your market strategies for year 2014?
2014 will see Encode focusing on its services with the main focus being on Managed Security Services. Extrusion Testing is another service that Encode has developed in-house and provides a complete APT preparedness simulation. Encode is continuously evaluating new products from which, after extensive testing in its own labs, introduces to its customers.

How has the technology and telecom market grown in the MEA region?
Encode has seen considerable growth in the telecom sector over the last year, with new products and technologies introduced by most providers. This has created a need for more advanced and focused information security services and solutions. Encode believes that the demand for tailor made security services will see considerable growth over the next twelve months.

Do you participate at trade shows such as GITEX?
Encode had participated at GITEX in 2011. We will not be participating at GITEX in 2014 though.
