How has the video communications market grown in the MEA region?
When we speak about the Middle East and Africa region, we have seen that the growth in videoconferencing and telepresence adoption has been multifold. The gradual shift from pure voice to voice plus video conferencing infrastructure is also driving the growth of the unified communications (UC) market in the Middle East.

Demand for comprehensive UC suites rather than standalone applications has bolstered market development as participants consolidate to strengthen their presence across UC segments in the region. According to recent market research reports, the unified communications market in the Middle East is expected to reach $679.1 million in 2019.

This includes enterprise telephony, video conferencing, contact centre, e-mail, unified client, unified messaging, mobility as well as presence and integrated UC applications.

Do you also focus on the SMB market in this region?
Yes of course. For any market SMBs are usually the lifeline and hence we focus on SMBs by offering them tailored solutions. In the past, businesses needed an extensive IT team to manage technology in-house.

This meant that smaller companies had to limit the technology they deployed. Now, virtual and cloud solutions offer cost savings, reduce support requirements and keep things simple. It’s the same with video conferencing solutions from LifeSize.

How do you think BYOD fits into the entire value proposition of video conferencing solutions?
BYOD as a concept is being actively adopted by many companies in this region. It has become a necessity these days due to employees carrying more than one personal device for work. However, with the adoption of BYOD concept, we now have a distributed workforce to deal with.

Extending HD video collaboration platforms across a distributed workforce may seem like a hard job. But it doesn’t have to be. We offer video conferencing solutions lets companes offer video collaboration across their entire organization, no matter where their workforce may be, in just minutes.
