tecbuy launches ‘Store-in-Store’ concept across Virgin Megastore

‘tecbuy,’ the Middle East region’s leading retail management enabler (formerly known as CompuME), has revealed its plans to expand the operations of its innovative ‘Store-in-Store’ (SiS) concept across Virgin Megastore outlets in the UAE.

Image 01The planned expansion has reinforced the company’s confidence in achieving double digit growth towards the end of the year while also helping drive in an increase in sales and foot traffic. The move also complements the company’s continuing efforts to position itself as a premier consumer electronics destination before World Expo 2020—offering leading brands like Samsung, Dell & Alienware, Lenovo and Asus.

According to ‘tecbuy’ senior executives, the company has decided on expanding its SiS concept to help improve the shopping experience of their customers while also giving them an edge over other consumer electronic shops in malls where their SiS stores are also located. The expansion will include enhancements and additions to the ‘tecbuy’ portfolio of products, placing strong focus on the growing demand for IT-based products like tablets, smartphones and laptops.

“We have found overwhelming response in our introduction of the ‘Store-in-Store’ concept, which resulted in growth for the company and prompting our partner, Virgin Megastore, to place additional floor spaces for our outlets,” said Dikran Tchablakian, CEO, ‘tecbuy.’ “Looking to further consolidate our reach and attract more foot traffic, we are now implementing an expansion initiative that not only aims at driving up our sales but also bolsters our efforts to become a preferred store of choice for consumers purchasing the latest devices. Customers loyal to our ‘Store-in-Store’ concept will be seeing a wider choice of products coupled with excellent customer service.”

The planned expansion aims to further promote leading brands like Samsung, Asus and Lenovo and will also include additional table stands showcasing products from Dell & Alienware, Merlin, the Infinity: Jabra Plug IT, Lightspeed binoculars and telescopes, Polaroid and BlackBerry. ‘tecbuy’ will also be placing wall stands to feature products from Razer and GCT.

“We are very upbeat with ‘tecbuy’s’ move to expand its SIS concepts within our stores. The move complements our commitment to provide our customers with the perfect shopping experience. Moreover, the presence of these in-store set-ups has given our outlets a unique and distinguished lifestyle look that all Virgin Megastore have been known for,” concluded Toufic Eido, Regional Channel Manager, Virgin Megastore Middle East.
