US based NSS Labs rates Fidelis XPS high for security effectiveness with an overall breach detection rating of 98.4 percent. NSS Labs is a information research and advisory company specialising in IT product testing.

According to NSS Labs, Fidelis XPS detected 100 percent of exploits, scored 100 percent on its resistance to evasion techniques and received a zero percent false-positive rating. Fidelis XPS also passed all six stability and reliability tests and detected 98 percent of HTTP- and email-based malware, ensuring persistent defense and minimizing the chance of a breach.

During the tests, Fidelis XPS consistently demonstrated resistance, validating its overall approach to unraveling the deeply embedded content-based “blended exploits” seen by both federal and commercial customers today.

“Real-time visibility over all phases of the threat life cycle is paramount to discovering and stopping today’s advanced threats. Fidelis XPS has the power to deliver enhanced network visibility, analysis and control over all ports at speeds of up to 20 Gigabits, enabling security practitioners to discover, investigate and remediate advanced threats quicker, more efficiently and most cost effectively.” said Peter George, president of General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions.

According to General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions, Fidelis XPS is designed to handle the most demanding network environments and is the industry’s only network security appliance with the power to deliver network visibility, analysis, and control over all ports and all channels in real-time, to defend against advanced threats and prevent the possibility of a data breach on multi-gigabit-speed networks.

Unlike other solutions whose payload decoders require the entire file to be presented before analysis may begin, Fidelis XPS’ patented Deep Session Inspection platform conducts full session inspection on partial sessions, making it the only network security solution to see, study, and stop advanced threats on direct-to-internet traffic in real-time.

The product is readily available across the region and Spectrami is the authorised distributor for Fidelis XPS in the Middle East. Commenting on these latest results, Managing Director for Spectrami, Anand Choudha said, “We are extremely delighted with these results and with this kind of proven performance enterprises in the region would find Fidelis XPS as an excellent solution that can protect their networks with enhanced visibility and control over the entire lifecycle of a threat.”
