Sage Middle East, the provider of business management software to small and medium sized companies, recently held a series of events for their existing business partners and prospective customers in the UAE and KSA.
The emphasis of these events was to showcase the power of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems – Sage 300 ERP (formerly known as Sage Accpac ERP), Sage ERPX3 and Customer Relationship Management software – Sage CRM. With over 500 attendees, KSA was by far the most successful leg of the events with over 350 attendees across Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar.

The IT services market in the Middle East has been showing signs of rapid growth over the last three years. The IT services market which was valued at $3.6bn in 2011 is estimated to reach $5.2bn by 2015, growing at 9.6% annually over the five-year period, according to a recent Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry article. Key markets in the MENA were KSA and the UAE combined, the two countries accounted for nearly 70% of all IT services spending in MENA.
