Maysalward to offer gaming apps for BlackBerry

Jordan based leading mobile game development company, Maysalward announced that the company will bring a multitude of local and regional games to BlackBerry smartphone and BlackBerry PlayBook users in the Middle East.

Some of the popular games that will be offered include traditional card games such as Balot, Trix, Tarneeb and Hand Rummy, and will be available for BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry OS 6 and 7; as well as for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. The games available for BlackBerry OS 7 smartphones will also be BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) connected apps, allowing friends to chat directly from within the app, or to launch a game directly from BBM.

“BlackBerry is extremely popular in the region, and we wanted to capitalize on this by making our games available on both the BlackBerry smartphone and PlayBook platforms. We are really excited about launching some of the region’s favourite games, such as Street Football and Penalty ShootOut, in addition to more traditional games like Carrom and Tawla (Backgammon),” said Nour Khrais, Founder and CEO, Maysalward.

“With the launch of PlayBook OS 2.0, and the regional availability of BlackBerry OS 7.1, we’re certain that our applications will deliver an added level of enjoyment and interaction to BlackBerry users,” concluded Khrais.

Maysalward applications were first offered on BlackBerry App World in March 2011, and have enjoyed increasing popularity since then.
