D-Link unveils its new cloud initiative

D-Link introduced its new cloud based product line, and by providing innovative cloud functionality to its networking products.

The new cloud capabilities will result in improved usability and effortless setup for many popular D-Link devices including network cameras, routers, and storage devices. These functions will be made accessible via the mydlink website or mydlink mobile application.

D-Link’s mydlink-enabled cameras like the DCS-930L, DCS-932L, DCS-940L, and DCS-942L automatically join themselves to the mydlink platform so that they can be accessed centrally, from anywhere, at any time, without any complex configuration.

D-Link Cloud products will feature the same elegant simplicity, providing access to consumer networking devices in a few simple taps or clicks.

Roger Kao, Chairman and CEOD-Link, said, “By joining their D-Link devices to the cloud, customers will gain effortless access to an avalanche of valuable features. D-Link Cloud is a great way for anyone to view, control, and share their digital life.”

In addition to current and next-generation network cameras, some of the first products to receive cloud enhancements will be routers and network attached storage (NAS) devices. Wireless routers such as the DIR-600L, DIR-605L, and DWR-112L will benefit from the ability to manage network users and monitor the security of their network. NVR devices such as the DNR-322L will connect to the mydlink platform for fast and easy access to data files and multimedia, with enhanced remote management.
