Kenya based largest data and internet backbone in East Africa, Altech Kenya Data Networks (KDN) the provider of comprehensive suite of services over its 6,000 km fibre optic network, including Internet Protocol services, broadband transport, infrastructure and collocation services appointed Shahab Meshki as the CEO.
Meshki comes with over 20 years of working experience in the information technology and telecommunications sector, brings a wealth of global management experience and expertise in the convergence of IT and telecommunication services. He began his career with the Siemens AG and then moved to Cisco in 1995, where he held various channel and sales management positions responsible for global accounts and business development and in 2002, he established the presence of Cisco in East Africa, where he was the general manager until October 2011.
Meshki will report to Tim Ellis, Altech group executive: converged services, and will be responsible for creating the vision, business architecture and go-to-market strategy for KDN.
