Bahrain based telecom operator Menatelecom awarded major Managed Services contracts for the year 2012-2013 to global giants Tech Mahindra and Huawei Technologies.
Together Tech Mahindra and Huawei Technologies will enhance and manage Menatelecom’s cutting-edge WiMAX 16e network and ensure that Menatelecom continues to provide the most powerful internet packages to both enterprise and residential customers across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The new arrangement will support advancements to a number of core operational areas and systems, that includes the enhancement and expansion of Menatelecom’s billing and customer relationship management systems including significant upgrades to the company’s current OSS/BSS capabilities, which will enable it to develop and offer an even greater range of advanced services to its customers
Commenting on the awarding of the contracts, Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat, Chairman of Menatelecom said, “In a few short years since the launch of our WiMAX network, Menatelecom has changed the internet market and the way people connect to the internet in the Kingdom of Bahrain. We have provided faster, better and more flexible broadband solutions for both residential and corporate customers. We have also raised the standards for what customers should expect of their internet service provider. The new partnership with Tech Mahindra and Huawei Technologies will further serve to ensure that our customers continue to receive the best support possible and the most reliable broadband internet service.”
In terms of Menatelecom’s vision for the future, this agreement takes advantage of new technologies, which will allow it to continue to successfully offer the latest products, services and technologies to provide for an optimum customer experience.
