Canon unveils its channel strategy

Canon Middle East recently outlined its IT channel strategy for Egypt and unveiled its latest range of solutions targeting SMB’s. The main focus would be on empowering and enhancing relationships with partners primarily System Integrators & Value Added Reseller channel by offering them feature rich products powered with Arabic driver and high speed printers, especially designed for SMBs.

“We are working to increase Canon’s visibility in major outlets across Egypt, targeting over 100 outlets mainly through Mass markets, Power Retailers and IT dealer channels. said Anurag Agrawal, Managing Director, Canon Middle East, at a recent event held in Fairmont Heliopolis, Cairo,Egypt.

Anurag further added, that, “we have recently launched a partner development program called Essential Business Builder Program (EBBP) in Egypt. Canon certainly remains strongly committed to Egypt and our IT channel strategy will greatly enhance our ability to cater to the distinct requirements of IT customers and business clients in the country.”

Canon intends to evolve a dedicated incentive scheme for the IT channel and offer increased Shubhak (display) activities, dedicated training programs thereby improving the toner sales/attachment ratio with the printer. It also took the opportunity to highlight its efforts to complement environmental and social-oriented initiatives in Egypt under its corporate philosophy of “kyosei” or living and working together for the common good.
