Canada based DragonWave plans to acquire Nokia Siemens Networks microwave transport business, including its associated operational support systems (OSS) and related support functions. In the post acquisition scenario, Nokia Siemens Networks would be responsible for its existing solution sales and associated services for microwave transport, while DragonWave would be responsible for the product line, including R&D, product management and operations functions.
Nokia Siemens Networks, announced the appointment of Hazim Al-Rawi as the new Head of Sub-region East. He will be responsible for the development of the Company’s business and operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan and Syria. Jorg Erlemeier, Head of Middle East, Nokia Siemens Networks, said: “Hazim is an outstanding addition to our senior leadership team in the Middle East. His deep customer insight and strong combination of Technical, Services, and Business Development skills will be pivotal to further grow our business in Sub-region East.
