The IT Department of Dubai Municipality organized a smart government forum with selected IT companies who presented papers on the most advanced solutions for the smart government initiative launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The forum came to discuss the most advanced smart solutions for the transformation to the smart government and provision of the best government services around the clock through simple procedures and high efficiency and transparency meeting the requirements and expectations of the public.
It also aims to ensure the high quality of life in the emirate of Dubai in sync with the 2021 strategy of the UAE as a part of its keenness to achieve the leadership and excellence in the field of customer service.
The forum was enriched by the participation of leading IT Companies where they presented different topics on smart solutions for the future government as follows:
Quebec Art – Government Next Generation, EMW – Information Security for Smart Government. Oxygen – Smart Applications First, Alcatel-Lucent – Unified Networks for Smart Enterprise. Huawei Technologies- Huawei for Smart Government.
Speakers during the forum provided the latest technical knowledge and creative solutions in the field of the development of mobile phone applications, Government of next generation, security of information networks for smart government, and mechanisms to upgrade networks for smart government applications.
Eng Mohammed Zafeen, Director of Information Technology at Dubai Municipality said this meeting comes within the framework of department’s diligent efforts to implement the smart government directives for the continued development of government services to keep up with modern technology, digital services and global technological development.
He said that this meeting has also contributed to strengthening the partnership with suppliers of information technology from the private sector to see the latest technology solutions, trends and practices in the field of information technology to improve services and systems, technical knowledge and efficiency of the staff.
