Eaton, leaders in power management, today announced its participation at the 39th edition of GITEX Technology Week 2019. In addition to discussing the evolution of the modern data centre, Eaton will also launch Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) Infrastructure, closing the gap between the physical and IT infrastructure.
This unique software can also be integrated with the VMware vRealise Operations platform. Data centre and operations managers in the region and beyond can use IPM software and Infrastructure Pack to manage the health, risk and efficiency of their power devices, thereby offering an integrated approach to data centre monitoring and power management.
Ashraf Yehia, managing director, Eaton Middle East said: “The Middle East is a very important and expanding market for us with data center spend in the MENA region expected to reach a record-high in the coming years. This opens doors for Eaton to showcase its best-in-class product portfolio at GITEX 2019.”
“At Eaton, we strive to make sure that data centres of the future are cost-effective, safe, reduce environmental footprint and adapt to the rapidly changing IT requirements. Our new IPM software is one such example that underpins our innovation.” added Ashraf.
Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager software offers end users a comprehensive infrastructure shutdown feature. This capability helps customers save time and money while reducing risks, allowing customers to gracefully shutdown an entire information technology environment without crashing a virtual machine or host server, even in data centres utilising VMware’s High Availability host servers.
Under the theme ‘infrastructure with intelligence’, Eaton representatives will be at GITEX to discuss data centre safety, sustainability and resilience and its 2020 plans for growth in the Middle East. Eaton will also showcase live demos of its unique range of products, including its Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) offerings and white space solutions.
