Cohesity Wins Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award

Cohesity has received the 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award for Infrastructure Modernization: Disaster Recovery/Backup. Cohesity is being recognized for its work with Google Cloud in helping organizations strengthen cyber resilience across cloud, hybrid, and SaaS environments through stronger threat protection, cleaner recovery, and more secure use of enterprise data.

“The Google Cloud Partner Awards honor the strategic innovation and measurable value our partners bring to customers,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, president, Global Partner Ecosystem and Channels, Google Cloud. “We are proud to name Cohesity a 2026 Google Cloud Partner Award winner, celebrating their role in driving customer success over the last year.”

In recent months, Cohesity has deepened its partnership with Google Cloud, broadening collaboration across engineering, product integration, and go-to-market initiatives. These efforts include Cohesity’s enhanced integrations embedding Google Threat Intelligence and secure sandbox analysis powered by Google Private Scanning directly into Cohesity Data Cloud. This allows customers to uncover hidden threats in backup data and recover with greater confidence.

“Across the Middle East, organisations are accelerating their shift to cloud and AI driven services, but they are doing so with a clear focus on resilience and data sovereignty. This recognition from Google Cloud reflects the growing demand we are seeing in the region for solutions that not only protect data, but ensure it can be recovered quickly, securely, and in a trusted state,” said Gregg Petersen, Regional Director for the Middle East, Cohesity. “With an increasingly complex and sophisticated threat landscape, organisations in the UAE and wider Gulf are prioritising cyber resilience as a clear foundation for business continuity. Our partnership with Google Cloud is helping customers achieve exactly that, enabling them to innovate with confidence while ensuring they can continue operations securely.”

Cohesity also expanded support for cloud and data sovereignty requirements, featuring new deployment options within the Google Cloud Data Boundary and availability of the Cohesity FortKnox cyber vaulting solution on Google Cloud. These capabilities enable organizations to maintain immutable, isolated copies of critical data within specific geographic regions while supporting clean recovery, even in highly regulated or high-risk environments.

As part of the companies’ latest collaboration, Cohesity Cloud Services now operates natively on Google Cloud Platform with added support for Google Workspace. This enables organizations using Google Cloud to protect missioncritical data, intellectual property, and customer information stored in Google Workspace applications such as Gmail and Google Drive. Cohesity also now offers protection and recovery support for Google BigQuery and Vertex AI.

Cohesity and Google Cloud are also extending the value of protected enterprise data through AI. By incorporating Google’s AI platform capabilities, including Vertex AI and Gemini, into Cohesity Gaia, Cohesity’s enterprise AI solution, customers can gain secure, contextual insights from unstructured enterprise data without compromising governance or resilience.

“Our partnership with Google Cloud has delivered critical innovation for customers modernizing backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience across hybrid multi-cloud environments,” said Vasu Murthy, chief product officer, Cohesity. “By combining Cohesity’s data security platform with Google Cloud’s security and AI capabilities, customers gain greater confidence to recover cleanly from cyber incidents while also responsibly deriving insights from the data they protect. We’re proud of what this partnership has enabled and honored to receive this award.”
