What are the key solutions or innovations Core42 is showcasing at GITEX GLOBAL 2024, and what partnerships or collaborations will you be announcing to strengthen Core42’s market positioning?
At GITEX Global 2024, we celebrated our first anniversary and showcased the latest offerings providing next generation digital infrastructure in cloud and AI compute. Our focus has always been on purpose-built technologies that address the evolving needs of industries and the public sector, helping them lead in the digital era.
From our Core42 Sovereign Public Cloud offering to our AI Cloud and Compass suite, we demonstrated our comprehensive solutions designed to drive innovation and empower organizations by lessening the complexity of accessing the latest advanced infrastructure and platform services. Some of the key partnerships announced at GITEX included collaborations with AMD, Qualcomm, and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, highlighting our commitment to accelerating AI deployment, predictive analytics, machine learning, and cloud transformation across the UAE. We also support major initiatives like the migration of Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority and the UAE Accountability Authority’s systems to Core42’s Sovereign Public Cloud offering, which leverages Microsoft Azure, and similarly enhancing the cloud solutions of Nawah Energy Company.
How does Core42 plan to leverage GITEX GLOBAL 2024 to drive growth and expand its market presence in the Middle East?
GITEX Global 2024 has been a crucial opportunity for us to showcase our advanced technological solutions and assert our leadership in AI, cloud computing, and digital transformation. By engaging with key stakeholders across industries, including public sector representatives, enterprise clients, and technology partners, Core42 aims to establish strategic partnerships that will drive its growth in the region.
Throughout the event, our product experts and executive leaders participated in a number of panel discussions and interactive sessions at both the Core42 and G42 stands, offering valuable insights into how our solutions are fostering innovation across various sectors. The event also served as a launchpad for new products and innovations tailored specifically to the local and regional markets, enhancing our competitive position.
How is Core42 addressing the specific digital transformation needs of industries across the Middle East?
A: It has been incredible to witness the Middle East emerging as a dynamic and vibrant technology powerhouse, driven to lead in the digital era through advanced national strategies that prioritize digital transformation and innovation. At Core42, we are proud to support this vision by delivering the digital infrastructure necessary for sustained innovation.
Our mission has always been to advance the region’s digital landscape by empowering organizations across industries to harness the power of AI to drive efficiency, innovation, and economic growth. As a global leader in AI and advanced technology, we have tailored our solutions to meet the unique needs of the regional market, supporting its aspirations to become a global AI hub.
Our primary goal is to develop scalable, reliable, and resilient capabilities that address our clients’ evolving requirements while contributing to digital transformation in the region and beyond. As part of the broader G42 family, we focus on designing and developing capabilities to deliver augmented intelligence and are on a mission to bring what we call the “Intelligence Grid” to life, a transformative infrastructure that redefines how artificial intelligence is distributed, accessed, and utilized, similar to how electricity is today.
How does deploying NVIDIA in your environment help your customers?
As the demand for AI-driven solutions increases across the Middle East, access to accelerated computing has become a key factor in the region’s digital transformation. These accelerators are critical for augmenting AI workloads such as deep learning, AI model training, and big data analytics. However, global supply chain challenges, export license restrictions, and the high costs associated with digital infrastructure have made it difficult for local businesses to leverage these resources.
Core42 is changing that dynamic by expanding our AI Cloud offering through the introduction of next-generation digital infrastructure deployed locally. In addition to our Sovereign Public Cloud, we recently deployed Nvidia H100s in the UAE to enable sovereign implementations for AI workloads. This infrastructure allows significant performance gains for demanding applications and enterprise-scale generative AI, enabling UAE-based organizations to fine-tune and scale their AI operations within the country, while ensuring data sovereignty and compliance with regional regulations.
This latest deployment in the UAE also expands our AI Cloud offering geographically adding to the existing footprint we have in the United States with our Condor Galaxy partnership, which leverages Cerebras AI accelerators.
What are your plans for the upcoming quarter and 2025?
Core42’s strategy for the upcoming quarter and into 2025 will center around expanding our AI and cloud services on both a regional and global scale. We will continue to focus on leveraging our core strengths and building on the achievements of our first year to deploy next generation digital infrastructure and enable national-scale AI transformation to help the public sector and regulated industries to excel in developing breakthroughs across various domains.
