Seiko Epson Corporation (Epson) has been named the 2026 Scanner Line of the Year by Keypoint Intelligence, a leading global independent evaluator of printing and smart workplace technologies. The award recognises Epson’s comprehensive, high‑performing portfolio of scanners and its continued leadership in imaging innovation.
Keypoint Intelligence commended Epson for its consistent performance across the entire scanner lineup and its broad product range designed to meet diverse business requirements. The organisation highlighted the scanners’ ease of use, reliable image quality, and robust software ecosystem — including support for the Epson Open Platform and Arm — which enhances integration, workflow efficiency, and functionality across modern business environments.
Junkichi Yoshida, President and CEO of Seiko Epson Corporation, said: “We are very honoured to be recognised by Keypoint Intelligence and to receive this prestigious award. Winning this accolade during the milestone year marking the 40th anniversary of our scanner business makes it especially meaningful.”
The recognition comes as Epson celebrates 40 years of scanner innovation, beginning with the launch of its first image scanner, the GT‑3000, in 1986. The award reinforces Epson’s global reputation for advancing scanning technology and its long‑standing commitment to delivering reliable, high‑quality imaging solutions.
For this award, Keypoint Intelligence evaluated the following Epson scanner models: DS‑800WN, ES‑C320W, ES‑C380W, ES‑580W, DS‑32000, DS‑1760WN, DS‑900WN, DS‑C490, DS‑770II, DS‑C330, and DS‑530II. Together, these models represent Epson’s extensive scanner portfolio — from compact solutions for home offices and small to medium‑sized businesses to high‑end, high‑volume scanners designed for enterprise‑level document processing.
