As a distributor, how do you see the cybersecurity landscape have changed in past 5 years?
The evolution of cybersecurity has gone hand in hand with the developments in communication technology. As we have progressed in the technology field, so have the types of cyberattacks which have taken place in the recent past. Cybersecurity is an ever-growing industry & expected to grow significantly in the upcoming future. Cybersecurity threats are always changing—staying on top of them is vital, getting ahead of them is paramount.
How long have you been part of GISEC and why is it important for you to be exhibiting at GISEC this year?
Being the largest IT Security focused mega-event, GISEC provides us the opportunity to showcase the latest security technology and solutions to customers in the region. The customers get a chance to meet the vendors, their solutions, the distributors and System Integrators to discuss their concerns and create a proper roadmap to handle the security threats currently affecting the region. We have been participating in GISEC since the year of its inception in the region.
Which are the major cyber security trends influencing the Middle East?
The region is exposed to very sophisticated cyber-attacks especially related to Ransomware, Phishing & cloud misconfigurations. In order to counter these attacks, there is a huge demand in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Cloud Security, E-mail Security, Anti APT solutions for Network and EDR solutions by customers in the region.
