solutions by stc, the specialized business arm of Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, announced its sponsorship of the “Cyber Security Challenges and Solutions” forum that was organized by the Electronic Engineering Technology at the College of Technological Studies at Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in collaboration with the Gulf University for Science and Technology. The two-day forum was held under the patronage of the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani, and with strategic sponsorship by the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) and technical sponsorship by International Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers in Kuwait (IEEE).
The forum was held in PAAET’s main theatre hall in Shuwaikh from February 15th – 16th , and included panel discussions as well as workshops led by industry experts showcasing the latest developments and systems in cybersecurity. With the main theme focusing on technological solutions and reinforcing the significance of cybersecurity, the forum served as a hub for researchers, educators, and industry experts to share their views, findings and experiences across various subjects.
Through its role as a sponsor, solutions by stc participated in the forum on the 2nd day where engineer Issa AlSuwait, General Manager of Cybersecurity at stc, presented a comprehensive overview on the future of cybersecurity, the current trends, as well as other key points to assist students in understanding the different technologies available today. AlSuwait also showcased some of the innovative solutions that the Company offers within cybersecurity, in addition to some of the essential pillars to consider when it comes to protecting digital data.
