KIDZONET, a global technology company offering Child Online Protection as a zero-touch telecom service, has announced its launch in Kuwait with its strategic partner KEMS Telecom, the leading technology solution provider. KIDZONET is now available to Kuwaiti families through KEMS Telecom, allowing parents to protect their children from online threats such as adult content, violent and/or inappropriate content and internet cybercrimes using a simple and parents friendly web portal or mobile app.
“One third of all internet users today are children,” says Mera Horani, KIDZONET Marketing Manager. “The Covid-19 pandemic led to a surge in children joining the online world, either for studies or social interactions, which resulted in a 300% increase in cybercrimes against children.”
“All existing solutions in the market are products and not services which require complex deployment, skills, and expertise to install, configure and operate, limiting the adoption rate. KIDZONET® has been designed, built and architected while taking into consideration the society values and family needs for a simple Child Online Protection service, offered through their local service provider, accessible anywhere / anytime from an intuitive and easy to operate web & mobile app,” added Horani.
On the partnership, Omar AbdulMohsin Mohammed Al Rashdan, Supervisor – Channel Sales Unit for KEMS Telecom Kuwait, says “Service providers are evolving beyond basic telecommunications and entertainment services to deliver a full stack ecosystem of managed solutions to their customers. KIDZONET enables service providers to address the needs for Child Online Protection (COP) to protect children from online threats while empowering them to become digital citizens.” The service will be available to subscribers starting 27th January 2023 and they will be able to request it by calling KEMS’s call center at 822. “
