Cohesity to demonstrate its entire suite of next-gen data management solutions

Gregg Petersen, Regional Director – MEA at Cohesity, talks about the importance of GITEX and how Cohesity intends to use this mega tech event as a platform to make strategic announcements.

How would you define your organisation and what prompted you to participate at this year’s GITEX?

Cohesity provides an end-to-end data protection portfolio that simplifies and consolidates complex and siloed data infrastructure. Delivered either via the self-service or SaaS models, Cohesity’s flagship Helios platform offers backup & recovery, files & objects, disaster recovery, data security & governance, development & test, and analytics & insight. At a high level, the platform is comprised of one distributed platform to support multiple workflows, one UI to easily manage the global environment, and the ability to run applications and services.

What products or solutions will be the highlight for you this year at the show?

At GITEX Global we will be demonstrating our entire suite of next-gen data management solutions. Among these, the key products we intend to showcase are:
• Helios: This is our next-gen data management platform that provides a comprehensive range of data services, available either as self-managed software or SaaS.
• DMaaS: Our Data Management as a Service solution offers a radically simplified way for organisations to protect, secure, govern, and analyse data.
• DataProtect: This modern, hyperscale solution enables businesses to simplify data protection, ensure recovery, and defend against ransomware.
• FortKnox: By empowering organisations to isolate their data, our FortKnox SaaS solution further strengthen ransomware protection and recovery strategies. It serves as a highly secure data vault providing a “virtual air gap”.

How important is channel for you and how do you enable channel partners to work with you?

The channel is fundamental to our go to market in the region and our strategy has been to go deeper with fewer key partners, which is getting us great traction with their customers. We have intentions to make some strategic announcements in terms of partnerships and distribution at GITEX Global so stay tuned.

What is the key message that you would like to pass on to your existing / prospective partners attending GITEX?

The focus of our participation will be to raise awareness around Cohesity and our Next-Gen Data Management approach which sits at the intersection of three of the highest priority business issues today – cyber security, cloud, and data management. We intend to explain why traditional data management products are failing businesses—neither safeguarding nor empowering enterprise data—while adding considerable complexity. And legacy thinking will not solve this challenge. We aim to help customers and partners discover Next-Gen Data Management which takes them on a transformational approach that makes it easy to protect, manage, and derive value from their data.

Another key theme will be around our Threat Defence Architecture – a multi-layered architecture and framework that brings together a range of our products, services, and capabilities, and ecosystem partners, to help customers identify threats through AI and ML, protect their data, and easily recover in the event of a cyber-attack.

What does your company hope to achieve at the end of the show?

The main objective of our participation at GITEX Global this year is to have impactful engagements with visitors to our stand. We intend to meet with as many potential customers as possible and leverage the relationships with our distributors and channel partners to help customers gain visibility of their data, irrespective of the location, and to protect their valuable data from ransomware.

Where can we find you at GITEX? (booth no and hall no)

Cohesity will have a dedicated kiosk at the Cisco Stand (C20) in the Za’abeel Hall.
