Subela Bhatia, Founder and Managing Director for IMPERIUM Middle East in conversation with Channel Post MEA talks about her journey in the tech industry and how her passion to be a problem solver has now enabled her to become a solution provider

How long have you been associated with the technology industry and what inspired you to start your own venture?
I have been associated with technology industry for the past 15 years and have worked with few of the leading value-added distributors in the Middle East, which has laid a sound foundation for me to kick start my own venture, IMPERIUM Middle East.

Well, what inspired me to start my venture was the excitement and passion to be a problem solver has pushed me to venture into solution provider space, and the company will focus on the cybersecurity, skill development, training and certification. There is a definite gap for both cybersecurity solutions and skills in the market, and we believe we can fill the void by introducing new products, solutions and services in the market.

Technology is a very competitive space; how have you position yourself?
We have positioned ourselves as the solution providers and we strictly follow the concept of consultative selling. We take pride in offering bespoke solutions to our customers and this helps us to be successful in this competitive space.

Which technologies are you currently focusing on and who are your key partners?
We offer a wide array of technologies and currently our focus is on Simulated Phishing Tool /Security Awareness, AI based Application Security, Pentest, Cloud based EDR solution and Risk Manager tools.

We offer international accredited cybersecurity training and certification for the beginners, middle and expert levels. Also, we extend our services in building employability skills focused on Big Data, Data Analytics and AI and customized eLearn, LMS and Gamification solutions.

KnowBe4, Immuniweb,  CompTIA and Imarticus Learning are some of the leading names in the industry that we work closely.

Which industry verticals are you targeting?
Banking, Insurance and FI’s, Government departments and Universities are the key industry verticals that we like to work with, as most of our solutions target in meeting the compliance standards for our customers.

What unique proposition do you bring to the table and why should vendors look at IMPERIUM as a preferred partner?
Our unique proposition is that the vendor can look at us as a extended arm, we have managed to create deep inroads into various industry verticals spread across the region. Our on ground knowledge, large customer base and technical strength makes us a good suitor for all the vendors that are looking to expand their base in the region.

Where would you see the company in the next 12-18 months?
We aim to acquire more and more end-users and expand our base of loyal customers. Aligning with new vendors offering products and solutions focused on cybersecurity, cloud technology and Operational Technology will also be part of our overall strategy.
