This week, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai visited the ‘HP Gaming Garage‘ located at Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai (RIT-Dubai), based at Dubai Silicon Oasis.
His Highness was briefed on the purpose of the establishment of the gaming lab, as well as HP’s goal and commitment to education by HP representative Ertug Ayik, Vice President and Print Business Leader at HP Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
Set up earlier in 2021, the HP Gaming Garage, in collaboration with AMD, aims at encouraging university and school students from all over the world to gain skills needed to enter the gaming and e-sports industry. The initiative is also aligned with HP’s commitment to enable better learning outcomes for 100 million people by 2025.
The fully equipped hi-tech gaming lab provides students with access to curated programmes to build soft skills and expertise specific to the gaming industry. It also enables students to connect directly with game development and esports industry experts through workshops and internship placements.
