Huawei has announced that the registration for the Huawei HMS App Innovation Contest is open until 8th October. The contest will move to the preliminary round on 9th October until public voting at end of the month, and the winners will be announced in November.
The Huawei HMS App Innovation Contest is offering a total of $1 million in prizes, to challenge developers around the world to create games and apps to bring better smart life services to Huawei device users.
The contest is intended to encourage developers to explore the power of the HMS Core and to push their own innovation and creativity to bring new experiences to the Huawei platform.
Adam Xiao, Managing Director, HMS and Consumer Cloud Service for Huawei Consumer Business Group MEA said: “Huawei has been working with global developers to foster innovation with a vision of digital inclusion. Across the MEA region, the HMS developer ecosystem has partnered with Huawei to create a number of inspiring apps that are empowering people and bringing social value to communities.”
Huawei has allocated $1 million from the Shining Star developer program as prize money, with a total of $200,000 on offer in each region. Awards will be made of $15,000 each for the top five apps; $15,000 each for the top three games; and $15,000 each for the top three apps with the best social impact. The most popular app will win $5,000, while 12 honorable mentions will receive $2,500 each.
