Barco wins Frost and Sullivan Best Practices Award

Barco announced that it has recently won the Frost & Sullivan Award for Technology Leadership in the Multi-modal Medical Display industry for the Coronis Uniti display system with Intuitive Workflow Tools.

“Coronis Uniti is indisputably a technological trailblazer in the field of multi-modal medical display monitors, proving far superior to all of its competitors,” explains David Frigstad, Chairman of Frost and Sullivan.

With this recognition, Barco confirms its position as the market leader in medical displays with a clear dedication to innovative technology, a high standard of quality, consistent commercial success and a deep understanding of customer needs.

Coronis Uniti is a Barco flagship product designed for multimodality imaging and proven to improve efficiency and detection. The unique 33” display with powerful brightness delivers a unique representation of calibrated color and grayscales. This industry-first 12 MegaPixel screen delivers sharp and precise images and consistent, perceptually linear color.

“Barco’s Coronis Uniti is a next-generation medical display monitor that is a product of the company’s tremendous capabilities in terms of combining innovation and technological advancement,” comments Deepak Jayakumar, Frost & Sullivan’s Senior Research Associate. “The feature-rich design of Coronis Uniti results from deep understanding of radiology workflow and exact solutions needed to tackle the challenges radiologists face in their day-to-day routine.”

Included with all Coronis Uniti display systems is a set of clinical workflow tools designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of radiology reading. “Frost & Sullivan considers the SpotView™ tool a perfect example of Barco demonstrating its superior grasp on technology – as well as properly understanding radiologists’ requirements,” said Jayakumar.

“The Intuitive Workflow tools are a game-changer in terms of improving workflow efficiency and enhancing radiologists’ reading assessment. The Intuitive workflow tools enhance the user-experience of Coronis Uniti by facilitating improved image analysis, lower radiation doses needed for scans, increased reading accuracy, and reduction in perceptual errors and time needed for analysis,” he continues.
