Open-E, a leading developer of innovative data storage software, released a new update for its data storage software Open-E Data Storage Software V7 (Open-E DSS V7). This update is free of charge for all existing Open-E DSS V7 users and the update 66 contains updates and fixes that improve the overall storage management and performance.
The improvements in the software include:
- Kernel 4.4.45
- UEFI boot mode support
- Mellanox ConnectX-4 and ConnectX-5 40/100GbE driver (mlx5_core, v4.4-2.0.7)
- Microsemi Adaptec SmartHBA and SmartRAID driver (smartpgi v1.1.4-132)
- Kdump (kernel crash dumping system)
Additionally, the update 66 contains a variety of ther fixes which will make the use of Open-E DSS V7 more convenient and flexible.
