Xerox appointed Mohamed Amer as the vice president and region general manager in the Middle East and Africa, and he will be responsible for managing the regions’ operations, business growth and strategy development.
Amer’s 20-year technology and document management industry experience expected to add value to company’s operations and to the region. Amer began his career with Xerox Corporation in Alexanderia, Egypt in 1999.
“I am honored to be leading Xerox’s business in the Middle East and Africa markets. Being the global leader in business services and document management technology sector, the company continues its evolution across these high-growth markets, and I am committed to continuing this momentum,” said Amer. “MEA’s public and private sectors are setting ambitious digital transformation goals and I am determined to help regional organizations achieve them through the adoption of Xerox’s innovative technologies and solutions.”
Amer previously led the Xerox Distributor Group team as the general manager where he was responsible for managing the region’s operations, business and overall strategy development and execution. His role covered 34 countries in the Caribbean, Central America and South America, and in 2011 he was appointed as Director of Sales Operations for the same region.
“Mohamed has proven his ability to drive growth in priority markets, and I am confident in his ability to strengthen our position in MEA by bringing our industry leading innovation to our customers,” said David Dyas, president, UK & Ireland, EurAsia, MEA and India.
