The data backup company, Arcserve announced the opening of their Southern Africa office in Johannesburg to expand its growth in the African market. Although the company has been successfully operating in sub-Saharan African for many years, however, this is the first time Arcserve has established its direct presence in the region.
Mick Bradley, EMEA Vice President at Arcserve, “Southern Africa is no stranger to Arcserve’s business continuity and disaster recovery offerings. However, with the introduction of sales, marketing and technical teams based locally, we can now use years of homegrown insight and experience to satisfy the unique requirements of the Southern African market. By doing so we will drive impressive results in the Southern Africa, fuelling both revenue growth and improved market dominance”.
With the new office, customers and prospects will benefit from improved access to local support and increased Arcserve investment in ‘go to market’ strategies. The new office will serve South Africa, Nigeria, East Africa and the South African Development Community (SADC).
Carol Ann Searra, Executive at Arcserve Southern Africa, says this is an exciting development for South Africa’s business continuity and disaster recovery markets. “Arcserve is already well established in this region but the presence of dedicated sales, marketing and technical teams, on the ground – all with profound local market knowledge, experience and expertise – bodes well for customer support and further development of channel partnerships. Moreover, this will ensure the most effective delivery of products and services to the region.”
