Google’s Android One partner, General Mobile, has launched three new smartphones on the UAE market through Muller & Phipps Middle East. Continuing to provide its users with the latest technologies, General Mobile has introduced the GM 5, GM 5 Plus and GM 6 and partnered with Muller & Phipps Middle East to launch the Android One smartphones developed by Google.
As a committed partner of Google’s Android One initiative, General Mobile has ensured the strongest user experience since launching in 2005 and, in the latest development, General Mobile has signed a distribution agreement with Muller & Phipps Middle East [MPME]. The General Mobile team has once again improved the user experience with their latest offering, the GM6, through combining the latest version of Android Nougat (Android Oreo will be available in December) with the superior technological features on the platform, and further complementing the experience with a great design and state of the art manufacturing to ensure a premium look and feel.
Commenting on the distribution agreement, Trevor Price, CEO of Muller & Phipps Middle East, says: “General Mobile has shown consistent, strong growth over the past 12-years and this is in no small part due to delivering to the highest standards, whether on product, price or the after-sales service experience. We are proud to be associated with General Mobile and their range of products. “The UAE mobile market is one of the most sophisticated and highly penetrated markets globally. The addition of General Mobile to our portfolio supports our goal to be the partner of choice for retailers and carriers across the Middle East.”
Referring to their partnership with Muller & Phipps Middle East, the Chairman of the Board of General Mobile, Sebahattin Yaman, expressed his happiness at the launch of the General Mobile Android One family of three smartphones to the UAE market. Yaman said, “General Mobile Android One products have been developed within the scope of the Android One program with Google and achieved great success in many countries. In fact, they took top place as one of the most preferred smartphones in research. With the strategic partnership of Google, we started signing the success worldwide and now General Mobile products are sold in 31 countries. We are increasing our success around the world by targeting to sell General Mobile products in 45 countries.”
