Unitrends partners with Nutanix

Unitrends partners with Nutanix to integrate it’s Recovery Series backup appliances and Backup virtual appliances with hypervisor-level support for Nutanix Acropolis (AHV) to enable enterprise customers to reduce infrastructure costs, while maintaining critical continuity and data availability requirements from integrated backup and disaster recovery services.“Both Unitrends and Nutanix enable enterprise IT to be simpler and smarter by reducing vendor complexity when delivering and protecting enterprise applications. Our joint customers running 3rd party hypervisors on Nutanix are looking for new ways to increase the ROI of their infrastructure, and have told us Nutanix AHV is a great way to do that by eliminating the high cost of VMware licensing. Without proper backup, data management, and enterprise cloud continuity in place, customers could never make that ROI a reality.” said Paul Brady, CEO at Unitrends.

The company will extend its core data center backup and recovery capabilities for Nutanix to the purpose-built Unitrends Cloud. The Unitrends Cloud provides a comprehensive set of continuity services that fill key gaps enterprises face with hyperscale clouds like Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as recovery Service Level Agreements (SLAs), failover scalability, and cost-effective compliance for DR testing and long-term retention.
